Frequently Asked Questions
For Campers
We accept boys and girls entering the 5th through the 12th grade. While preference is given to Catholic campers of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Helena, applications are welcome from anyone regardless of religious affiliation or location.
What to Bring
Clothing should be recreational, modest, and enough for the entire week. A weatherproof jacket or raincoat, sweater or sweatshirt, walking or hiking shoes, water shoes or sandals and extra socks are highly recommended.
Campers should also bring their own sleeping bags, pillows, towels, soap and other personal care items. Campers may also bring up to $20 to spend at the Camp Canteen.
Fishing equipment (Montana state law requires a license for campers 12 and older), baseball glove, camera and film, flashlight and batteries, appropriate reading material, postcards and stamps, musical instruments and/or piano music are all welcome.
What NOT to Bring
Valuables such as cash, fine jewelry, fancy watches or any other valuable item should be left at home as to not risk being lost at the camp. Legendary Lodge can not be responsible for the loss of personal valuables that are brought to camp.
Do NOT bring cell phones, mp3 players, ipods, CD players, and other electronic devices. These items only distract from camp activities.
Do NOT bring any alcohol, tobacco products, drugs or any other non-prescription controlled substance. A violation of this may warrant dismissal of the camper from the camp.
